Our Impact
Homelessness places a heavy financial strain on our community. By providing stable housing, we reduce costly emergency services while creating lasting change that benefits both individuals and the entire community.
Our Model
We provide affordable, sober housing to help adults from all walks of life rebuild their lives. Since 2010, we’ve offered nurturing, stable homes and social support, empowering our residents to take control of their futures.
Our Mission
We are committed to being a catalyst for change, helping individuals with a variety of illnesses, disabilities, or in recovery live safe, independent, and meaningful lives. We provide clean, supportive housing and walk alongside each person to ensure their needs are met, promoting healing, growth, and hope for the future.
How Does Spirit of Hope Work?
Spirit of Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that has been providing housing for those facing homelessness in Carson City since 2010.
As the only local agency offering this unique and critical service, we address homelessness through a housing-first approach, knowing that without a safe and supportive environment, individuals cannot begin to rebuild their lives.
After a thoughtful intake process, each qualifying adult is placed in a home that feels like family. More than just clean and safe, these are places where people are supported and celebrated. Our homes foster a sense of community, often led by residents who take on leadership roles, helping each other overcome challenges. This compassionate model is why local healthcare, social service agencies and the court system trust us to support even the most difficult cases, empowering individuals to address destructive behaviors and create positive change in their lives.
